This session will address the foundational ethical obligations associated with the use of AI tools in legal practice, excluding applications related to drafting court briefs, which were covered in last year’s presentation. It will examine requirements such as disclosure and billing obligations, and consider illustrative industry hypotheticals involving AI use in areas including patent validity and invalidity, infringement and non-infringement analyses, freedom-to-operate assessments, and related matters.
